Small yet mighty! The vegan leather crossbody purse keeps all your essentials close at hand. The door was brand new. The years were painted on.
This print began with a door I sanded, primed, and aged by hand. I tinted white primer to a warm beige, placed wax and shellac in selected areas, then applied a green paint I tinted myself. I chipped and peeled the paint back where the wax resisted it, used alcohol to coax crackling in the shellac-treated areas, and finished with a dark brown wash to settle into the grain, cracks, and corners.
Every layer helped build the impression of a door that had weathered years of use.
A photograph of that finished surface becomes the all-over print on this compact crossbody: olive green paint, exposed beige, and darkened recesses, reproduced on textured vegan pebble leather. A little scenic artistry to carry into your everyday.
Sized for your essentials, with an adjustable shoulder strap, metal hardware, and a navy blue twill lining.
